Finally a film that is a pure pleasure to watch! Maybe it’s because it’s running out of competition. While the artsy stuff concentrates on shabby exteriors, beat up chain smoking weirdos and excessive use of drugs and/or alcohol, this here is entertainment and beauty. Nothing more, nothing less. Of course the acting is superb – Trine Dyrholm is like a ray of sunshine – and of course the filmmakers know their business. Above all director Susanne Bier does . . . Which can not be said about all the directors who take part in the competition. Great movie, nice score, lovely locations and a beautiful, moving story. I think I’ll get me the DVD 🙂
