Never before has a TV series beaten cinema so badly at its own play, namely at being a visual art. SHERLOCK is a blend of cinema and TV, full length feature films arranged in a series of 3 per Season. And there’s more innovation: Not only do Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman redefine the historical characters of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson in a most amusing way, the whole format takes cinematography and dramaturgical prowess to a whole new level.
Good news then, that Season 4 will start soon … or as co-creator, writer and executive producer Steven Moffat puts it: “A special, plus a new series of three episodes – it’s a record-breaking run! Of course, it’s far too early to say what’s coming, but we’re reasonably confident that the very next thing to happen to Sherlock and John, is the very last thing you’d expect…”. Shooting on the special began this month, i.e. January 2015, with the series shooting later this year, writes the BBC. Of course, Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss have Season 5 plotted out already as well.[aartikel]B00DSJYERA:left[/aartikel]
